Using MMQGIS Plugin to SELECT features in QGIS

Task
We will be using the MMQGIS plugin Select feature to select low income countries in the World are in the Africa region. This Selection will create a new layer  named African Low Income Countries

Procedure
The polygon shapes in brown are the countries around the world whose income are the lowest. See screenshot below.


Taking a look at the attribute table, one would observe that the continental region of each Low income country is contained in the column- Region-un


On the upper main menu bar, Go to the MMQGIS Plugin > Search/Select > Select


In the Select processing window, Select the Source layer, Select Attribute and Value, give the output shapefile a name and OK.


The output layer-AfricanLowincomecountries is added to the Layers window.
